As part of POTRANSI we conduct a power analysis of four social innovation trends:

• sharing economy
• eco-communities
• decentralised energy
• participatory democracy

Focusing on the Netherlands, Portugal, and United Kingdom, we start by mapping out social innovation networks and initiatives to select cases to study and collaborate with. With their distinct socio-economic and institutional contexts, studying these countries allows us to conduct a comparative analysis.

The case studies will feed into the development of a theoretical framework of power dynamics in transformative social innovation.

We are currently mapping initiatives and networks in the Netherlands, Portugal, the UK, and beyond. We are looking for initiatives and networks that we are working with: Participatory Democracy, Eco-communities, Decentralised Energy (including co-housing initiatives), and Sharing Economy.
